Butser Ancient Farm is an archaeological laboratory open to the public where ancient technologies are explored, from ancient farming methods and rare farm breeds to the recreation of buildings using ancient construction techniques and materials.

The Farm is a working replica of an Iron Age farmstead and is situated about 4 miles south of Petersfield in Hampshire, just off the A3.
Buildings at the farm include simulated pre-Roman roundhouses and a simulated Roman villa.

Opening Times

• Open daily (Mon-Fri) throughout the year (except Christmas period).
• Open 7 days a week in June, July and August, 10.00am - 4.30pm (last entry 4.00pm)
• The site is open to the public on a 'drop-in' basis during the week.
• There will be no activities arranged for you and there may be a school visit taking place.
• Normal opening hours are suspended for special events like Beltain.
