Rake is a small village lying on the West Sussex-Hampshire border about 4 miles to the North-East of Petersfield on the old A3 and forms part of the civil parish of Rogate.
Rake also has a village hall and a Garden Centre with a variety of services.
Rake had two pubs, The Flying Bull and The Sun Inn both of which hold history as they are situated on the old London to Portsmouth coach road which in the past has been associated with smuggling. Only The Flying Bull remains open.
Rake is a small rural first school for children from Reception to Year 5. Facilities including a new hall, they also have an outdoor heated swimming pool and an adventure play area. Classes are small & taught in well equipped classrooms and great ITC facilities.
