Rogate is a small village 4 miles to the East of Petersfield just past the West Sussex border. The name Rogate derives from 'roe deer gate'.
The Parish of Rogate has a population of 1700 and comprises of the villages, Rogate, Rake, the hamlets of Haben, Fyning, Hill Brow, Langley, Durford, Wenham, Durleighmarsh and Terwick Common.
Rogate has two churches : St Bartholomew in Rogate and St Peter in Terwick.
The White Horse public house sits centrally in the village and backs onto a fantastic recreaction ground & village hall.
Rogate has a small shop with Post Office & has a small Primary School.
